At Enfys we feel that choice is so important but we also recognise how overwhelming too much choice can feel. Below are some examples of the different types of coffins you can choose from and you can click on the link to download our coffin brochure for more options.
Veneered Coffins
Veneered Coffins are a favoured choice for cremations and can also be used for burials. There are a range of wood finishes available including oak, elm, cherry, mahogany; and further options such as brass or silver handles and ornaments; and beading to the lid or embossed panel sides.

Solid Wood Coffins
Solid Wood Coffins are unmatched in their quality, offering a robust and truly premium aesthetic. Solid wood coffins are suitable for cremation but are more often recommended for burials whilst bearing in mind that they are very heavy. They are available in many different woods such as oak, mahogany and pine and have the further options as with the veneered coffins or brass or silver handles and ornaments; beading or a raised lid and routed panel sides.

Willow Coffins
Willow Coffins are weaved in Somerset using only willow grown, dried, steamed and dyed, on our own supplier’s farm. Each coffin is made to order for a truly personal touch and suitable for cremation, burial and natural woodland sites. Willow coffins are available in buff, white, antique buff, natural barked and steamed willow; and can be fully customised with different colour banding; a coloured kalico liner; willow or rope handles; and can be made in either a curved end or traditional shape.

Woven Coffins
Woven Coffins are hand woven by skilled basket-makers making each one unique and are suitable for burial, cremation and natural burial sites. They are available in a range of natural, sustainable materials such as seagrass, cane, bamboo, banana leaf, rattan, loom and coco-stick; and can be made in either a curved end or traditional shape.

Jute Coffins
Jute Coffins are a relatively new eco-friendly, affordable choice suitable for cremation, burial or natural woodland sites. They are constructed using a sustainable Paulownia timber frame, draped with a high-quality jute fabric and finished with bamboo handles.

Cardboard Coffins
Cardboard Coffins are available in natural brown or lily white; or can be customised with a bespoke design. They are suitable for burial, cremation and natural woodland sites and have robust rope handles.

The Loop Living Cocoon
The Loop Living Cocoon is grown from mushrooms and is a beautiful, natural alternative coffin suitable for cremation, burial, or natural woodland sites. Grown in just 7 days, it fully returns to the earth within 45 days, enriching the ground becoming a source for new life to thrive. The cocoon has six integrated jute handles; is lined with a soft bed of moss and is available in ‘calm’ or ‘wild’ colour.
