About us

We are an ethically run funeral company who will support you to arrange a meaningful funeral that celebrates the life of the person who has died.

We believe…

While grief begins the moment someone dies, their funeral can have a huge impact on your bereavement and form an important step towards processing a life without them. This is why we believe funerals are so important, allowing loved ones to celebrate and reflect on the life that was lived.

As a female led business, providing a caring service with compassion, dignity and transparency is something we pride ourselves on, while offering choice and flexibility wherever possible.

Our Funeral Home

At our funeral home on Bangor High Street, we have carefully designed the space to allow families to feel at ease.

We have a comfortable meeting space for arranging funerals, and on the ground floor we have a multifunctional space suitable for small services or gatherings, and which is home to our peaceful chapel of rest.

To the rear of our building is the mortuary. Here, the body of the person who has died will be cared for and will remain until the day of their funeral.

We will always collect the body of the person who has died as soon as possible and bring them into our care, and will ensure family and friends are able to visit or spend time with their loved one in a way that feels right for them. Some find it helpful to watch or help with the washing and dressing of their loved one while others may simply want to sit in the same space as their person.

We recognise that everyone deals with loss in different ways. We are happy to facilitate this and will work with you to decide what feels right.

Future Planning

Funerals are something we as a society don’t like to talk about, in particularly our own funeral.

If you would like the opportunity to simply talk through the options available and your preferences for your funeral, then please just get in touch and we can arrange a time for you to come and see us at Enfys for an open and relaxed chat.

We will type up all the things you would like (or wouldn’t like!) for your funeral for you to keep in a safe place, share with your family or to put with your will with no obligation, ready for when it’s needed.

We don’t take any form of prepayments for funeral planning and there is no obligation to even use Enfys as your funeral director, we simply want to help empower your family with the knowledge that they are fulfilling your wishes.

Who are we?

Manon Williams and Louise White, the co-founders of Enfys Funerals, are close friends… and over the years of friendship and through working together, they discovered that their values and ambitions were very similar.

Enfys was founded to fulfil their mutual aspiration to support people through the early stage of their bereavement by creating truly meaningful funerals. This is why Enfys offers variety, flexibility and encouragement, enabling each bereaved person to arrange a funeral that truly represents the values and personality of the person who has died.

Manon

Following years of interest in the funeral industry, in 2017, Manon embraced an opportunity to assist with local funerals in order to gain experience and knowledge. Due to a lack of local opportunities to join an existing funeral company, in July 2020 Manon made the decision to follow her aspiration and open her own funeral home and was delighted to be joined on the journey by her close friend Louise.

Manon is a mother of four who enjoys cooking, reading and spending time with her husband and children. She has previously worked in a community arts centre and run local support groups.

Louise

Louise is a Biologist with a variety of experiences ranging from studying human behaviour to emotionally supporting people during times of change in their lives. She became a mother during the Covid-19 lockdown and decided on an alternative career path, undertaking several training courses with Manon in order to expand her knowledge in bereavement, grief and funerals.

In her spare time Louise enjoys exploring the outdoors with her family and her dog Cefin or spending time at home crafting and creating.
